And possibly the last weapon of this month comes from CHAWLZ (at the suggestion of our resident pirate, Reptilian357). Although it may look like a Detonator in-game, it functions properly as a Shotgun with 15 shots that indeed resets the afterburn of a currently burning enemy. It serves as a great harassment tool to get the last painful reminder against players who try to flee from your Flamethrower. The only problem is that you're going to need a good enough aim to do so. Remember, this is not a weapon for killing, but to remind your enemies that they are, very much, indeed on fire.
— Weapon announcement on the official Slag Forum

The Boilerbuss is a secondary-slot weapon for the Pyro in Advanced Weaponiser. Visually, it is identical to the Detonator.

Despite its visual similarities to the Pyro's set of Flareguns, it functions not unlike a Shotgun, firing a large, randomized spread of incendiary bullets. Upon dealing damage to a burning enemy, they are re-ignited, causing them to take more burn damage over time. However, it has a very large bullet spread, making it more ideal in close-range situations.

Originally it was featured as a Weapon of the Month, but after its original expiry date it was added to the roster of permanent weapons.

StrategyEdit

-Afterburn damage from this weapon is 3 regardless of the damage of the previous burn inflictor, making this weapon great with weapons that have lowered burn damage, such as the Degreaser.

-This weapon reloads passively, so switching to it for a quick amount of close-range burst damage can be very useful.

-One bullet will always fire directly down the crosshair, making it possible to heckle even long-distance or escaping targets with extra afterburn damage.

TriviaEdit

  • This weapon was originally a March 2012 Weapon of the Month before becoming a full weapon.
